Ángel de Guillermo is a director and producer specialized in post-production, with 25 years of experience in international auteur cinema and series for Amazon, Netflix, and HBO.
Trained in Film Editing at ECAM (Madrid Film School), he began his career working on a Moviola under the mentorship of Pedro del Rey, editor of filmmakers such as Luis Buñuel, Carlos Saura, and Luis García Berlanga.
His first feature as editor was nominated for the Diosa de Plata (Mexican Critics' Award), and his directorial debut won the CCAS Award for Best Short Film at Cinélatino Toulouse, also screening at Guadalajara, Havana, Vancouver, and Fantastic Fest (Austin).
He has led post-production and executive production on award-winning works distinguished at Venice, Sundance, Berlin, Havana, and Guadalajara, as well as projects nominated for and winning the Ariel Award, the highest honor granted by the Mexican Academy of Film (AMACC).
Founder of Tres Sesenta Post and Gualumbo Films, he has designed pioneering workflows for series such as Vgly and feature films like Sundown and New Order (Silver Lion, Venice Film Festival), establishing new standards for post-production across Latin America.
Since 2024, he has been developing experimental documentary projects and narrative work with archival material and artificial intelligence, combining industrial expertise with a contemporary authorial practice.
