Saikat likes to pen his ideas by giving up the actual definition to inflect a new dimension. He started his journey first through poetry and reflected his thoughts in eleven books like "Gumanta Prithibir Replica", "Jarasandher Bichhana", "Kolkatar Selfie", "Balighari O Marilyn". From his college days he writes scripts for popular satellite televisions. Being an engineer he accepted a mosaic professional life and made his career by working as a lyricist, script writer and creative writer. He has written for the voices of Rupankar Bagchi, Somlata Acharya Chowdhury, Raghab Chatterjee, Silajit Mazumder, Timir Biswas, Rudra Sarkar, Iman Chakraborty, Porahia Sen, Mohul Chakraborty, Arkadeep Mishra and many others... He has also worked with the legendary music director Debojyoti Mishra in various television shows like 'Mohar', 'Superstar Parivaar' etc. One of his recent notable lyrics in Amit-Ishan's music is 'Mithye Premer Gaan' from the SVF webseries "Breakup Story". He also worked as a lyricist in the films like "Backspace", "Grohon", "12 Seconds" and engaged himself in advertisement writings like "Sonoscan", "Everyday Spice", "Konark Salt", "G C Dey Jewellers" etc. Besides all, he writes regularly for esteemed Bengali magazines and daily newspapers.
