Dalton Alfortish is an actor, comedian, and director whose creativity shines through his versatility and dedication to his craft.
Born on October 17, 1990, in a movie theatre in New Orleans, Louisiana, Alfortish’s affinity for the dramatic arts was likely influenced by his hometown's vibrant theatrical scene and his family's storytelling traditions—something he had always felt certain about.
Although he studied Finance at the University of New Orleans, Alfortish pursued acting and landed his first professional role in the 2008 short film The Zeppelin Parable. With New Orleans becoming a hub for major film productions, he steadily gained roles in successful films and television series such as 22 Jump Street, Scream: The TV Series, The Big Short, Jack Reacher: Never Go Back, and others. To enhance his skills, he trained in stunts, voice acting, commercial work, and improv.
In 2016, Alfortish moved to Los Angeles to advance his career and explore new opportunities beyond his comfort zone. There, he trained at The Groundlings and performed at several of LA’s renowned comedy clubs. He then secured a significant role as a series regular on the children’s show Challenge Squad, produced by former Disney and Nickelodeon executives. While he had established himself in acting and comedy, another passion awaited discovery.
After two years on Amazon/Hulu’s Challenge Squad, Alfortish embarked on a journey to become a writer and director. Despite challenges along the way, his upcoming short film Nowhere is set to premiere in Summer 2020.
Along with his love for theatre, Alfortish has a deep appreciation for literature and philosophy.
