Born on Long Island, Bill and his seven siblings were raised in Massapequa, New York. He attended St. John the Baptist D.H.S., where he played football and ice hockey. After discovering his passion for acting, Bill enrolled at New York University and the Lee Strasberg Theater Institute. In New York, he became a member of the renowned fight group Fights R' Us, performing and choreographing stage fights for theater, film, and soap operas. In 1988, Bill made his Broadway debut in a production of Macbeth featuring Christopher Plummer and Glenda Jackson. Between 1985 and 2012, Bill appeared on The Young and The Restless as well as numerous TV series, including Desperate Housewives, Friends, Home Improvement, Frasier, The Naked Truth, The Shield, Suddenly Susan, and The West Wing. His film credits include Blue Streak, Princess Diaries, Aspen Extreme, The Other Sister, and The Right Temptation. In 2025, Bill and his colleague Randall Caldwell founded Story Flight Productions, creating original films, TV series, stage plays, and literary works.
