Born in London with Argentine and British heritage and holding U.S. citizenship, Ms. Oliva-Day maintains studios in Pasadena, California, and Buenos Aires, Argentina.
She earned a BA in Drama Studies from Cape Town University.
Following graduation, Ms. Oliva-Day moved to Buenos Aires, Argentina, where she collaborated with film and advertising director Edi Flehner to produce numerous acclaimed and award-winning advertising and spot campaigns.
A passionate pioneer of emerging digital media technologies, Ms. Oliva-Day joined forces with Stargate Films. As its Creative Director, she founded Stargate Digital in 2001, a cutting-edge visual production company with studios in South Pasadena, Vancouver (2001), and London (2003). Under her leadership, the company received multiple awards and two Emmy nominations. Her team at Stargate Digital was responsible for the photographic edgy images and visual effects in series such as The Dead Zone, Crossing Jordan, ER, Las Vegas, Monk, The Twilight Zone, and the innovative hit CSI.
In 2003, Mayor Hahn commissioned Ms. Oliva-Day to write, direct, and photograph the Los Angeles Image Campaign. She rallied numerous entertainment industry colleagues to join her in celebrating the city she cherishes, producing a globally viewed ad campaign that laid the foundation for a new vision of Los Angeles as an artistic, productive, multicultural, and warmly welcoming city.
In 2004, Ms. Oliva-Day chose to focus full-time on collaborating with various media companies, including Radio Touche in Argentina, working from her studios in Pasadena, Argentina, and worldwide.
