Ifeanyi (Anyee) Etuwe Ogwo, is a multi award winning Canadian Actress based in Toronto, Ontario. She began her acting career in 2019 with a supporting role in a feature film titled "When Love Hurts". She is popularly known for her stellar performance as Adani, Gary Johnson's mother in the Award winning feature film The Life Coach, a Diamond Media Production.
She has featured in a number of Black and Indigenous People of Color (BIPOC) projects. She gave an equally outstanding performance in the award winning short film, "Crosses" and played a supporting role in the Afro Global Media TV series, "Omobella" (post production). She featured in "Realm 2", a mini TV series now playing on streaming platforms Prime UK, Prime United States, and TUBI, a Great & Mighty Things and Bell Fibe TV project 2023.
Anyee's ability to bring depth and nuance to her every role has won her several awards, among them, Best Supporting Actress, Canada at the 2022 edition of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival (TINFF), for her outstanding performance in " Beyond the Pale", a Canadian/Nollywood short film produced in 2021. In 2023, she won Best Actress Miniseries at the inaugural edition of the Canadian Black Screen Awards, and again in 2024 won Best Actress - Diaspora at the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival for her role in Realm 2 miniseries.
Anyee excels as an event Host. In 2021, she moderated several sessions of the Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival Filmmaker Interview Series where she spoke with filmmakers, directors and producers regarding their projects nominated at the Festival. She was Host/Compere at the 2022 edition of the International Black and Diversity Film Festival (IBDFF) which held in Toronto Ontario as well as Show Host for the 2022 Toronto International Nollywood Film Festival Gala Night.
Anyee has featured in Commercials and landed a speaking role in a Canadian Bank (CIBC) project which streamed on major Canadian TV Stations and other streaming platforms. Due to her love for stage acting, she played the role of Miss Grace in Imperfect Love" a stage production of Reel Gems Inc which had 2 showings in Toronto, ON in 2022 and 2023. Her next stage performance is set for April 2025 with The Thorold Community Theatre group.
