Cameron Stewart is an Australian journalist, known for his extensive experience in international affairs, defence, national security, and investigative reporting. He has a distinguished career marked by numerous awards and postings abroad. He is the Chief International Correspondent for The Australian, where he combines investigative reporting on foreign affairs, defence, and national security with feature writing for The Weekend Australian Magazine. In 2008 Cameron was awarded the Graham Perkin Australian Journalist of the Year Award. He has also won multiple Quill Awards, News Limited News Awards, and has been a Walkley finalist for investigative journalism. In 2023, he received the European Union - Qantas Journalism Award and in 2024, The Bragg UNSW Press Prize for Science Writing.
