Morne began her career as a Broadway actress, appearing in popular productions like "In Love With Love" and "Love 'Em and Leave 'Em." In 1922, she was selected from a pool of 100,000 women to have her likeness featured on a special silver dollar issued by the government to commemorate the Armistice.
