She began her screen acting career with a role in the 1997 film Liar. In 1998, she appeared in the television movie A Bright Shining Lie and the series Brimstone. In 1999, she featured in two episodes of The Practice. By 2001, she had roles in the series Strong Medicine and The Guardian, the TV movies Just Ask My Children and Stranger Inside, as well as the film Cowboy Up. In 2002, she appeared in the series JAG and had a part in Steven Spielberg’s film Minority Report. The following year, she appeared in Touched by an Angel and Mister Sterling. In 2005, she was seen in Medical Investigation, CSI, and Cold Case. In 2006, she acted in the film When a Stranger Calls and the series The Unit. In 2007, her appearances included the film Zodiac and the series Without a Trace and Big Love.
In 2008, she had roles in ER, 90210, True Blood, Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles, Swingtown, and Criminal Minds. Notably, she portrayed Denise Rattray, a vampire-hunting drug dealer, in True Blood. In 2009, she appeared in Lie to Me and Saving Grace. In 2010, her work included the films The Steamroom and Taxi Ballad, as well as the series Justified, Terriers, Bones, and In Plain Sight. On Justified, she guest-starred in the first season episode "The Lord of War and Thunder" as Sonya Toomey, and she had a recurring role as Steph in Terriers for five episodes.
In 2011, she appeared in the short film Tumbling, the movie Sissy, and the series The Whole Truth and Army Wives.
