Josh Burns is an Australian Labor Party politician. He is the current Member of Parliament for the federal electorate of Macnamara in Melbourne, Victoria. He was first elected in 2019 and has been re-elected in 2022 and, most recently, in the 2025 federal election. Following his re-election in 2025, Josh was appointed as the Special Envoy for Social Housing and Homelessness in the second Albanese ministry. He serves as the Chair of this important committee, reflecting his commitment to human rights and civil liberties. He also chairs the Foreign Affairs and Aid Subcommittee of the Joint Standing Committee on Foreign Affairs, Defence and Trade.
