Ben Mulhern is a writer and director originally hailing from Madison, Wisconsin. He was brought up by the local theatre scene as both parents were prominent artists. At 16, he wrote and directed his first original one-act, 'Kids Being Adults' and has been active ever since.
After moving to the Twin Cities, Ben wrote, produced and directed two shows for the Minnesota Fringe Festival: Oil Tutor (2013) and Comic-Con Clue (2014). He followed that up with five original youth musicals in a five year period as the lead of the theatre program at a local arts charter school.
Over the last two years, Ben has transitioned to the silver screen, writing and directing the religious comedy pilot 'The Heathen Shane Stevens'. It has won several awards and official selection statuses, most recently as a nominee for best series at the Breaking TV Film Festival in London, England.
