Amanda Eke is a Nigerian American Spoken-Word Poet, Artist, Film-Maker, Educator, and Journalist. Despite learning to read at age 7, she has earned numerous accolades, including the Fulbright Fellowship, United Nations Artistry Award, and being recognized by True Leaders Magazine in 2024 for "changing the face of poetry." She was also named 'Storytelling Master' by the Kingdom of Morocco and nominated for the 50 Pillars of Influence and Power Award by True Leaders Magazine.
In 2024, Amanda launched her TV show, 'The Poet Speaks with Amanda Eke,' which airs on Heritage Broadcasting Service and Roku. Her podcast, 'The Poet Speaks, Podcast' was named a 'Top 5 Podcast by Black Creators' in 2022 by Strategic Media Inc. She also created the docuseries 'Growing Pains with Amanda Eke' and directed the film 'B I D L A,' archived at the John F. Kennedy Center.
