Fatma Abu Assi is a renowned media executive, strategist, and entrepreneur with over 23 years of experience shaping the entertainment and broadcast landscape across the MENA region. Known for her leadership in content development, creative strategy, and production operations, Fatima has held senior roles in both government and private sectors, overseeing large-scale projects across free-to-air, pay-TV, OTT platforms, and international co-productions.
She is the Co-Founder and CEO of BE Group, a leading UAE-based independent media company specializing in the production of high-impact TV series and documentaries with global appeal. Under her leadership, BE Group succeeded in bringing together the most prominent local and international producers and directors under one umbrella
Previously, Fatma held multiple leadership positions at MBC Group, including Head of Business & Content Development and Head of Production in KSA. During her tenure, she played a pivotal role in launching record-breaking Arabic drama series, establishing mega studios in Riyadh, Abu Dhabi, and Cairo, and elevating digital content standards through original productions for Shahid VIP.
She was also the VP of Arab Broadcast Content (ABC), a top-tier dubbing and subtitling provider in the Arab world, and has led successful operational transformations at outlets such as Baynounah Media Group, Al Aan TV, and MTV Arabia (Viacom).
Fatma is a former member of the International Academy of Television Arts & Sciences (EMMY Awards) and a respected speaker in executive media education. She continues to champion young talent, cultural storytelling, and the global reach of Arab content.
