Dan Carrillo Levy is a writer, director, and producer with experience across film, television, and branded content. He co-founded the creative studio Moxie 88, where he co-created, co-wrote, and produced content for Disney, Nickelodeon, and Paramount. His work there includes the Disney Channel series Ultra Violet & Blue Demon, an original animated series for Nickelodeon, a live-action reboot of a major Nickelodeon franchise, and a feature film adaptation for Paramount based on a bestselling novel. He also co-wrote original screenplays for features like The Demon and Boiler Bunny, contributing to a diverse slate of genre-driven projects across various platforms.
Earlier in his career, Carrillo Levy produced the feature film Sin Ella for Disney and created El Reporterito, a broadcast segment for Televisa’s coverage of the 2008 Beijing Olympics, which earned recognition from the International Olympic Committee. He has directed music videos and commercial campaigns for international brands.
His directorial debut, Zero Hour, written by Academy Award nominee and Cannes winner Guillermo Arriaga and starring Camilla Belle and Jaime Camil, was showcased at over 75 international film festivals, including Palm Springs, Morelia International Film Festival, and a curated program during the Cannes Film Festival. The film garnered multiple awards across the global festival circuit.
Carrillo Levy develops original projects through Kill Your Darlings, a boutique creative label dedicated to bold, cinematic storytelling. He is a member of both the Writers Guild of America and the Producers Guild of America.
