Born in Naples and raised in Rome, Giorgio Caputo studied economics in London before pursuing his passion for acting. He trained in acting theory, textual interpretation, improvisation, voice, and movement at the Scuola di Recitazione di Beatrice Bracco in Rome and is a member of the Actor's Center of Michael Margotta. After completing these courses, he continued his training in Italy and the United States with renowned acting coaches such as Francesca De Sapio and Geraldine Baron, and attended workshops led by Sofia Coppola, Vincent Schiavelli, Greta Seacat, and Pierpaolo Sepe. Giorgio made his screen debut in the 1997 film "Naja." Since then, he has balanced a career as both a leading man and versatile character actor in numerous feature films and television series. Notable roles include Gufo, the sensitive stuttering friend in the biographical film "Rino Gaetano"; Escamillo, the charismatic bullfighter in "Carmen"; Armando, the quirky metrosexual publicist in "Sfiorarsi"; and Ricotta, the cynical yet philosophical hitman in the critically acclaimed "Romanzo Criminale," which has been distributed worldwide. Giorgio’s theatrical debut came in 1999 with "Cyrano de Bergerac," directed by Giuseppe Patroni Griffi. He remains passionate about theatre and has appeared in several productions in Rome, gaining recognition for his comedic talents. In 2008, Giorgio made his writing and directorial debut with the award-winning short film "Action," which earned numerous accolades including Best Director at BISFF 2008 and the Nastro d'Argento for Best Actor (De Matteo). When not acting, he directs commercials and plays while developing new projects. Additionally, Giorgio performs as a member of the Italian band Orchestraccia, who released their second album in April 2016.
