With 25 years of experience creating programs for traditional cable and broadcast TV networks, Paul recently broadened his expertise to include original digital content. Since the pandemic, he has focused much of his energy on supporting and promoting New York's revitalizing Broadway and arts community. This dedication led him to establish the social media division at Mortimer PR, aimed at elevating their roster of acclaimed, award-winning Directors, Writers, Producers, Casting Directors, and Below-the-Line professionals in both film and television. Their clientele features industry leaders such as Bill Lawrence, Chad Stahelski, Gary Dauberman, Chris Morgan, Sarah Finn, Warner Bros. Post Production Creative Services, among others.
Before this, Paul served as Senior Vice President and Head of Original Programming and Development at Pop, a cable network that was a CBS-Lionsgate joint venture. He played a key role in rebranding Pop from TVGN (TV Guide Network), introducing a fresh lineup of signature original programming, including the multi-Emmy Award-winning comedy series $CHITT'S CREEK, live Red Carpet broadcasts from the Oscars, Grammys, and Emmys, as well as various celebrity-driven reality TV shows. Under his leadership, the network achieved nine consecutive quarters of ratings growth, consistently outperformed competitors, and renewed over half of its new series for second and third seasons.
Earlier in his career, Paul held executive roles at NBC and The Walt Disney Company and worked as a producer at E! Entertainment Television in New York. He began his career at 16 as an on-camera host and producer for the CBS affiliate in Boston, becoming the youngest local television producer in the nation. Paul has frequently been featured as an entertainment expert by major media outlets including The Wall Street Journal, CBS, E!, NPR, The New York Times, Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Access Hollywood, and The Howard Stern Show. He is an active member of the Producers Guild of America and the Academy of Television Arts and Sciences.
