Alex was born in Dallas, Texas, in August 1996. She is an only child and was raised in a small town near Dallas. From the age of three, she began performing, taking ballet, tap, and voice lessons. Her first acting experience was in a church play, where she played a lead role in the Christmas production "A Tannenbaum Christmas." She realized her passion for the big screen in third grade after watching "Harry Potter and The Goblet of Fire" in 2005. Inspired, she created her own talk show on her mother's laptop, featuring guests like her cousin and dog. At nine, she portrayed 'Little Cosette' in a local theater production of "Les Miserables." By seventh grade, she was active in school theater, writing monologues and continuing dance. In eighth grade, she joined the McMillan Junior High Dazzler drill team. Throughout high school, she sang in the top A Capella choir and danced as a member of the Pacesetter drill team at Wylie High School. In her senior year, although she didn't make the show choir due to an excess of sopranos, she secured the lead role of Tracy Turnblad in Wylie's production of "Hairspray," showcasing her acting, dancing, and singing talents. The musical became the highest-grossing in the school's 99-year history. In 2014, she enrolled at Collin College, renowned for its theater program, where she studied stage movement, musical theater, modern dance, ballet, and acting.
In 2015, Alex worked on her first feature film, the action movie "AmeriGeddon," directed by Mike Norris, son of Chuck Norris.
In 2016, she was involved in the film "Color Me You," directed by Marco Bottiglieri.
2017 was a significant year for Alex. In March, she worked on FOX's "The Gifted." In April, she appeared in Mike Norris' "The Crossroads of Hunter Wilde." During June and July, she acted alongside Jamie Chung and Corey Michael Smith in Yen Tan's full-length feature "1985." In July, she began taking acting lessons from Nancy Chartier’s Acting for Television and Film, where actors like Jennifer Stone and Jake McDorman have trained—Alex counts herself as one of Jake’s biggest fans. In September, she worked on "The Price of Fame" for the Prince episode, reflecting her admiration for the artist. In October, she secured a featured role as "Samantha Henley" in Gabe Villarreal's film series "Frenetic.
