Julia Melim is a SAG-AFTRA actress, stand-up comedian, producer, and voice-over artist originally from Brazil, known for blending humor, heart, and cultural perspective in her work. After moving to the U.S., she turned her personal experiences into comedy, performing in English and Portuguese across Los Angeles, New York, and internationally. Her work often explores identity, belonging, and navigating life between cultures, using humor as a bridge to connection.
In 2025, Julia made her debut as a writer and performer at the Hollywood Fringe Festival with her solo show #Messy (The Brazilian Hour). The show received critical acclaim and media recognition, including being featured by The Hollywood Reporter as one of the shows to watch. She has also been recognized as one of NY’s Funniest comedians and has appeared on international television, including Brazil’s iconic late-night talk show Programa do Jô and the South African series Late Nite with Loyiso Gola, nominated for Best Comedy Series at the International Emmy Awards.
Beyond the stage, Julia is known as a lifestyle host for CBS’ morning show City Guide and an entertainment host for Hollywood TV, where she has interviewed hundreds of celebrities on the red carpet. She has worked as a producer on Netflix’s Ultimate Beastmaster, executive produced by Sylvester Stallone, and is a voice-over artist with experience in national commercials, animation, and ADR/loop group work on The Incredible Hulk. Julia is also the creator of the wellness podcast Feed Your Soul Mixtape and a co-author of Are We Friends or Co-Workers?, advocating for mental health through storytelling.
