Ramiro Medina Flores is a Chicano director, producer, storyteller, photographer, and speaker. He founded WeAreNotZombies.com (WANZ), a multicultural platform that transforms stories into meaningful connections with global social and environmental impact. He studied Communication at Tec de Monterrey and Film Direction in Los Angeles and Maine. In 2003, he directed his first short film, "La Vulka," which premiered at the Morelia International Film Festival in 2004. In 2011, he directed the feature film "Contratiempo." His work encompasses film, radio, photography, and documentary, with projects showcased and produced in Mexico, New York, Madrid, France, Cuba, Bosnia, Brazil, Vietnam, and Colombia. Currently, he is directing "Monstruos de la Marimba," a documentary about the story and evolution of the Mexican cumbia punk band Son Rompe Pera.
