For some reason, being a mother of two with a "stay-at-home Dad" (a much nicer term than "unemployed husband") while living with her parents gives Patti great motivation to get out of the house.
Patti cherishes being a mom to her wonderful little boys. Griffin, who adores trains, Batman, and chatting as much as his mom, is a fantastic big brother to Declan, who loves music, water, and hugs. Declan also has special needs, a part of Patti’s life she openly discusses. She has started sharing her story with humor and warmth for organizations like the Iowa Department of Education, The Hope Network, and Gilda’s Club.
Patti doesn’t get bogged down by the small details of motherhood. She approaches social issues with a lively edge that resonates with diverse audiences. Her witty perspective on human quirks keeps people coming back to hear her thoughts on relationships, pop culture, and chance encounters with strangers who have no idea she’s taking note of their ridiculous behavior to share with audiences worldwide.
Besides headlining at comedy clubs and colleges across the United States, Canada, and Europe, Patti has written and performed four popular solo shows for theatergoers:
"Tequila and Shamrocks: Every Flower Has Her Roots"
"Pregnant Party Girl: From Stoli’s to Stirrups"
"Mamacita: Tales of a Diaper Diva"
"Lipstick Mom: From Mommy To Mamalicious"
Patti has performed at numerous comedy festivals, including Just For Laughs, HBO’s Las Vegas Comedy Festival, the Chicago Comedy Festival, and Marshall’s Women in Comedy Festival in New York City.
On television, Patti has appeared on the Very Funny Show on TBS and COMEDY.TV, along with regular spots on the highly popular Bob & Tom TV Show on Superstation WGN and their daily morning radio show syndicated in 139 cities nationwide. Currently, Patti stars in the new reality series "My Life Is A Joke" on the OWN network.
