Matthew Graham was born in Cold Lake, Alberta, into a military family, resulting in years of moving throughout Canada. Eventually, his family settled in Victoria, BC, where Matthew’s passion for acting took root. He studied musical theatre and dance in high school and was also highly involved in sports, winning a provincial championship in rowing.
He pursued further education at Simon Fraser University, initially studying Technical Theatre with a focus on lighting design before switching to Acting. He graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts in Performance in 2007. Following university, Matthew performed in musical theatre, taking on roles such as Evil Ed in the Vancouver premiere of "Evil Dead the Musical" and King Marchand in "Victor Victoria," where he acted alongside Canadian theatre icon Jeff Hyslop. During this time, while also acting in short films, Matthew discovered his passion for film acting.
For nearly a decade, Matthew has concentrated on film, television, and commercial work. His recent credits include appearances on TV series like "Batwoman," "Supernatural," "Riverdale," as well as numerous Lifetime and Hallmark movies. He stars as the charming lead Todd in the upcoming comedy-adventure film "Outrunners."
Lately, Matthew has begun sharing his extensive performing knowledge by working as an acting coach within the community.
When not acting, Matthew enjoys playing sports, cooking, and spending as much time in nature as possible. He also collaborates regularly with the Canadian dance company Broken Rhythms Victoria Society, serving as a contract Director and Creative Consultant.
