Tyson Turrou is an actor and producer working across television, film, and stage. Renowned for infusing his characters with a raw yet relatable quality, he has acted in and produced over 25 TV shows and films, collaborating with numerous Emmy-winning directors, producers, and actors.
Driven by the belief that compelling storytelling is a powerful way to unite people from diverse backgrounds, Tyson’s work reflects his passion for filmmaking and his commitment to empathy as a tool for bridging societal divides.
Raised in the small rural town of Grand Junction, Colorado, Tyson developed a strong work ethic through his experiences outdoors and working in his grandfather’s construction business. At 12, after visiting the set of "Thelma and Louise," where his sister worked, he became captivated by film, inspired by watching Ridley Scott direct. Pursuing this passion, he attended USC to study acting and film alongside some of today’s leading storytellers. Eager to launch his career, he graduated early and secured his first acting role shortly thereafter.
Though devoted to acting, Tyson sought to expand his creative impact, returning to film school roots in 2015 to produce his first feature, "Loners." He is currently developing several films and series in collaboration with diverse filmmakers. Tyson lives with his wife, a math educator specializing in training teachers for young children, who wholeheartedly supports his artistic pursuits. Together, they have a daughter described as the smartest, most adorable, and entertaining child imaginable.
