Kerry "Dragonface" Shawcross is an Internet and YouTube personality, known for co-writing the Rooster Teeth series RWBY. He also serves as a co-director, compositor, and voice actor for Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter. As a Rooster Teeth employee, he is one of the primary scriptwriters and co-directed Volumes 1 and 2 of RWBY. After the passing of creator Monty Oum on February 1, 2015, Kerry took over as director for Volume 3. He voices Neptune Vasilias in RWBY, Lieutenant Palomo in Red vs. Blue, and Dragonface in X-Ray and Vav.
Kerry is a core member of Rooster Teeth and Achievement Hunter, having appeared in numerous videos. He directs Red vs. Blue and contributes to the RWBY writing team. His official Twitter handle is @kerryshawcross. He is in a relationship with Stacey Graber.
Born on May 1, 1991, in San Antonio, Texas, Kerry attended and graduated from Communications Arts High School in San Antonio. He later moved to Austin, Texas, where he began working for Rooster Teeth Productions as a Video Production staff member in May 2010. Kerry also served as Barbara Dunkelman's "boob wrangler" for the RT Short "Siri: The Horror Movie." Additionally, he worked as a machinima animator and voice actor on Red vs. Blue: Season 10, and as an editor and voice actor on Red vs. Blue: Season 9.
He regularly appeared on the Internet Box Podcast alongside RWBY cast members Barbara Dunkelman and Lindsay Jones, as well as other members of the Rooster Teeth community.
Other appearances include the original Rooster Teeth production A Simple Walk Into Mordor, several RT Shorts, and multiple appearances on the Rooster Teeth Podcast.
Kerry is unable to whistle and cannot swim, a trait shared by his character Neptune. He voiced the character who shouts "EEEE-YUUP!" in "The Badge and The Burden," referencing the catchphrase of Andrew Blanchard, another Internet Box Podcast member. Kerry resides in Austin, Texas with his girlfriend Stacey Graber.
