Marko Dejanović was born in Banja Luka. He graduated in journalism from the Faculty of Political Science in Zagreb. He began his professional career as a journalist, working first in television, then for online media outlets, and later spending six years as a crime reporter for daily newspapers, as well as a reporter for a weekly publication. In addition to journalism, he worked as a satirical writer, editor, and screenwriter for the comedy news platform NewsBar.
Dejanović is a professional comedian who has been performing stand-up comedy since October 2014. He has created three solo stand-up shows: "Prosti Faktori" (premiered in 2017), "Brak, dijete i povremeni seks" (2020), and "Dobro Si Se Oženio" (2025). In 2026, he released his stand-up comedy special "Stranac Bosanac" on YouTube. For many years, he was a regular performer at the comedy club Studio Smijeha until its closure. Since 2020, he has been a co-founder and member of the BIS Comedy collective, as well as the president of the BIS Comedy association.
Alongside his work in comedy, Dejanović is also an accomplished writer and a member of the Croatian Writers' Association. He is the author of two short story collections, "Belzebubov notes" (2011) and "Van Brloga" (2016), as well as the novel "Karte, molim!" (2015). For this novel, he received the annual "Janko Polić Kamov" award from the Croatian Writers' Association in 2015, recognizing literary excellence and innovation.
He is married to a doctor and is the father of a son, Nikola (born 2017).
