Jodi Cilley is an Emmy®-winning producer, seasoned filmmaker, entrepreneur, and educator with a passion for building San Diego's film community from the ground up. Since 2004, she has been inspiring and training the next generation of storytellers, teaching video production and editing at UC San Diego Extension's Digital Arts Center, Platt College, and the Media Arts Center San Diego.
Over the course of her career, Jodi has produced more than 100 creative projects, ranging from digital series and short films to documentaries, TV specials, and commercial campaigns. She also brought Film Indiego, a six-part TV series, to KPBS, further showcasing local talent.
With a B.S. in Sociology from Boston College and an MBA in Entrepreneurship and Management from San Diego State University, Jodi blends creative vision with business savvy. She is the founder and president of the Film Consortium San Diego, and the driving force behind the San Diego Film Awards and San Diego Film Week, both designed to expand exhibition, distribution, funding, and job opportunities for emerging filmmakers.
Jodi is adjunct professor in San Diego City College's Radio, Television, and Film department, Jodi most recently produced the San Diego Film Awards, which has earned a remarkable 15 Emmy® nominations. Her mission remains clear: to elevate San Diego as a vibrant hub for filmmaking and to empower local creatives to share their stories with the world.
