Thomas Blake grew up on Wrightsville Beach, a small island near Wilmington, North Carolina. From a young age, he developed a passion for acting and participated in community theater whenever possible. After spending two years in the Theater Department at UNC Wilmington, he relocated to New York City to study acting at Uta Hagen's HB Studios conservatory. While in NYC, he continued performing in theater, began starring in independent films, and took on directing roles in both theater and film.
In 2007, Thomas moved to Los Angeles to direct, produce, and star in the theater production Point Break Live! His acting and directing work on the show earned significant critical acclaim, including being named one of LA Weekly's People of the Year in 2009. The production remains the longest-running show in LA and has toured cities such as San Francisco, Las Vegas, New York City, Chicago, and many others across the United States.
In 2011, he wrote and directed Terminator Too: Judgment Play, which also received positive critical reception and has been performed in NYC, Los Angeles, and San Francisco continuously. In 2014, both Point Break Live! and Terminator Too performed at the Bonnaroo Music Festival, becoming the first theater productions to appear at a major US music festival.
Despite his busy theater schedule, Thomas regularly works in film and television. He is committed to maintaining versatility in his pursuit of creating quality, authentic entertainment both in front of and behind the camera or stage. Thomas is the founder of On The Fly Productions, a company that produces a wide range of entertainment, from live theater to feature films.
