Justin Crosby began his music career in spring 1993 as the lead guitarist for Drop Nineteens, recording artists signed to Caroline Records. The band was among the few US groups influenced by England's distinctive shoegaze sound. After signing with Caroline Records—home to artists like Smashing Pumpkins, Hole, and White Zombie—the Drop Nineteens topped the UK Indie Album and Singles charts with their official releases. They completed 43 performances across multiple European and domestic tours, supported Blur on a two-week US tour, shared stages with Radiohead, Flaming Lips, and Mazzy Star at England's Reading Festival, and headlined Lollapalooza's second stage at Waterloo in 1993.
Transitioning from touring musician to composer and producer, Crosby now creates music and custom sound design for television, trailers, short films, and mobile games. His work features in prime-time TV shows on major networks including HBO, Showtime, ABC, NBC, CBS, CNN, BBC, and Channel 4 UK. He is credited as percussion programmer on the late Daniel Licht’s haunting score for Silent Hill 8: Downpour (Konami) and collaborated with Licht to compose signature percussion elements for the 2000s hit Dexter (Showtime). His television credits include Power (Starz), The Daily Show and Daily Social Distancing Show (Comedy Central), Black-ish (ABC), Ink Master (Paramount), Castle (ABC), Do No Harm (NBC), Deception (NBC), as well as NFL, NCAA, UFC, and WWE programming.
His trailer work, custom TV marketing campaigns, and sound design span projects such as House of the Dragon Season 1 and Raised by Wolves (HBO), Jurassic World Dominion, Nightmare Alley, The Tragedy of Macbeth, Pearl, Barbarian, and Don’t Breathe 2.
