Funda Pelin Kurt is a Turkish actress with a strong background in theater, television, and cinema, known for her grounded performances and long-term commitment to the craft of acting. She first gained public recognition with the television series Aşk Olsun, which marked a turning point in her screen career.
Before and after her television breakthrough, she spent over 15 years working in theater, where she developed a disciplined, text-driven approach to acting. Her stage work includes productions such as Kaplan Maplan (Tiyatro Kedi), Kaygan Zemin and Üçüncü Türden Yakın İlişkiler with E.S.E.K, Elmanın Yarısı within social education projects, as well as productions at BKM Mutfak and Ali Poyrazoğlu Theatre. This extensive stage experience became the backbone of her performance style-restrained, precise, and psychologically consistent.
Alongside theater, she has built a wide-ranging screen career in television and film. Her television credits include Bir Zamanlar Çukurova, Mucize Doktor, Elif, Gece Gündüz, Açık Mutfak, Tutsak, Kuzenerim, Paşalı, Pilli Bebek, and Estağfurullah Yokuşu. Her film work includes Tatlı Şeyler, Halam Geldi, Kırk, Ayva Sarı Nar Kırmızı, Şeytan Bunun Neresinde? by Levent Kırca, and several short and independent productions. She also appeared in the widely known crime drama The Pit.
Funda Pelin Kurt received formal acting training at Bahçeşehir University, Müjdat Gezen Art Center (Actor Studio), and Dialog Communication School under the direction of Arsen Gürzap and Can Gürzap. She is fluent in English and has worked in both national and international commercial projects.
