Neil Elman, a writer and producer with 25 years of industry experience, is the Founder and CEO of ELMAN FILMS. He recently completed production on Atlas, a tonal thriller starring Academy Award nominee Demian Bichir, which will enter the festival circuit in fall 2023.
Before founding his company, Elman was Senior Vice President at MarVista Entertainment, a FOX company, where he managed the independent genre slate. He played a key role in creating and producing content for domestic theatrical releases, streaming platforms, and festivals. Notable recent projects include the holiday comedy CHRISTMAS IS CANCELED for Lionsgate and Amazon Prime, the thriller SIGHTLESS for Netflix, and HUNTER HUNTER, which earned a 94% Certified Fresh rating on Rotten Tomatoes and was released by IFC Midnight and Hulu.
Prior to MarVista, Elman served as Senior Vice President of Production and Development at Cinetel Films, overseeing 8-15 films annually for TV networks and studios such as SYFY Channel, Lifetime, HBO, Starz, and Anchor Bay. Throughout his career, he has developed and produced over 100 films for both domestic and international markets.
Having produced successful horror thrillers like HUNTER HUNTER, SIGHTLESS, NO ESCAPE ROOM, HOUSE OF THE WITCH, and the reboot of the cult classic I SPIT ON YOUR GRAVE series, Elman has established a strong presence in the genre and looks forward to expanding his brand under his own banner.
