Charlie Parkin is a composer, music producer, and filmmaker who crafts original music and visual narratives for film, digital media, and commercial ventures. His work ranges from orchestral and ambient compositions to electronic and hip-hop productions, all fueled by a deep passion for storytelling and the emotional interplay between sound and image. He has partnered with clients such as the NHS, Virti, and the National Police Wellbeing Service, earning multiple awards for his contributions.
In addition to his music career, Charlie serves as a creative producer and director of photography. His filmmaking experience shapes his compositional approach, providing a keen sense of narrative, pacing, and visual storytelling. Whether scoring, producing tracks, or working behind the camera, he continually seeks innovative ways to bring ideas to fruition.
Outside his creative endeavors, Charlie is a Filmmaking Lecturer at UWE Bristol, mentoring emerging filmmakers in honing their skills. Previously, he led the Screen Production department at Bristol Old Vic Theatre School, where he produced short films and taught across the curriculum.
