D.M. Cunningham is an acclaimed writer, director, and producer in film and television. He owns Horror Hoods, a Halloween mask company, is a published children's book author, and a former columnist for Famous Monsters of Filmland magazine. He is one-half of the synth-wave band Dreaming In Neon and a member of the Producers Guild of America. In 2015, D.M. and his wife and producing partner, Tara, founded Night Prowler Video to create genre films with distinctive visual style and flair. He has sold feature projects to Disney, pilots to Cartoon Network, and worked as a staff writer on MTV's early dramatic series Live Through This.
Since 2018, his short films—There's One Inside the House, Motherhood Bites, Unholy Blood, The Guests, and the Halloween fan film He Waits—have been featured at multiple festivals, earning Official Selections at Shriekfest, Women in Horror Film Fest, Thriller Chiller, Sin City Horror Fest, Flint Horror FilmFest, Dead of Night Film Festival, and Nightmares Film Festival. His short film Motherhood Bites (also known as V) was selected for the Legendary Digital/Alpha series Short Ends, hosted by Andre Gower and Ryan Lambert of Monster Squad fame.
