Ololade Okedare was born in the south-western city of Ibadan, the capital of the historic Oyo state, Nigeria. She is a screenwriter, producer and author. Having transitioned from her medical practice in Physiotherapy, she found love in storytelling. She has co-written feature films like Code Wilo (with Femi Odugbemi as Executive Producer), Paternity Deal and Dead Rite; both TV movies premiered on African Magic Showcase. She is a published author with her debut novel, Catching Grace, released through WestBow Press, a division of Thomas Nelson and Zondervan, in 2019.
She is a Mentor and Story Editor in the first-ever Lagos Film Lab: an initiative by the British Council, Creative England and Biola Alabi Media. She is also a writer on Tinsel, the longest-running TV series on African Magic, among other upcoming projects. She often writes under the pen name, Lydia Emmanuel.
