Lorielle New is an actress with over 60 credits in movies, TV shows, and short films. She began her career as Michelle Pfeiffer's photo double and stand-in on three films. Her dedication caught the attention of director Jon Avnet, who gave her her first speaking role in his film "Up Close and Personal." Shortly after, through determination, Lorielle started landing her own acting roles, beginning with a provocative guest appearance as a porn star on trial for murder on David E. Kelley's Emmy-winning series "The Practice."
Over the years, she has become known for portraying many memorable, quirky, and often diabolical characters in numerous independent films. Her roles have ranged from a werewolf to a hypnotist, a porn star, and a nerdy secretary.
Besides working with Michelle Pfeiffer, Robert Redford, David E. Kelley, and Jon Avnet, Lorielle has collaborated with filmmakers and actors such as Rob Zombie, Stephen Jarchow, Mel Damski, Paul Colichman, Jeff Fahey, Henry Jaglom, Sam Irvin, Rolfe Kanefsky, and David De Coteau. She takes particular pride in her leading role as the diabolical JB Divay in the low-budget independent film "Edgar Allen Poe's The Pit and the Pendulum," directed by David De Coteau for Regent Entertainment/Here! Network. Her performance has been described as a "delicious, entertaining, campy romp."
In addition to acting, Lorielle actively supports numerous philanthropic causes, advocating for equality, LGBT rights, positivity for all people, and the ethical treatment of animals and the environment. She is also a dedicated artist working with acrylic paints and reduction printing, having sold several pieces to private collectors. She is currently preparing an exhibition of her artwork.
