Nyasha Hatendi, a renowned and internationally acclaimed actor, stars in Netflix's The Seven Dials Mystery alongside Martin Freeman, Mia McKenna-Bruce, and Helena Bonham Carter. His recent television work includes the final season of Amazon's Hunters, a series regular role on Amazon's Alex Rider with Vicky McClure and Stephen Dillane, and TNT's Debriefing The President opposite Joel Kinnaman.
Nyasha portrayed Leon for four seasons in Hulu's Golden Globe-nominated comedy Casual, produced by Oscar nominee Jason Reitman. He also appeared in the "Pooka!" episode of the Blumhouse/Hulu anthology series Into the Dark, directed by Nacho Vigalondo, and had a recurring role on HBO Max's Made for Love. On the film front, he features in the Apple+ movie Swan Song opposite Mahershala Ali, Naomie Harris, and Glenn Close. He debuted in feature films opposite Angelina Jolie, Matt Damon, and Eddie Redmayne in the critically praised The Good Shepherd, directed by Robert De Niro. His other film credits include the sci-fi movie Replicas with Keanu Reeves, the BBC/PBS Masterpiece TV adaptation of King Charles III directed by Rupert Goold, The Comedian, and The Front Runner, directed by Jason Reitman.
A graduate of the Royal Academy of Dramatic Art (RADA), Nyasha was born in the United States and raised in the UK and Zimbabwe.
As a writer and director, Nyasha wrote, directed, and executive produced Sacrilege: Curse of The Mbirwi with Audible and Qcode. The project was nominated Best of The Year 2025 - Horror and is currently being developed into a feature film.
