Paul NuRoyal (formerly Paul Nutall) is an American martial artist, former law enforcement officer, and television producer. Born in San Antonio, Texas, Paul rose to prominence as a competitive kickboxer, earning three world championship titles from the W.K.A., I.A.B., and I.K.F. in the early 1990s. He also served as a personal bodyguard for the late singer Selena Quintanilla during that era. Widely regarded as one of the top fighters in his division, Paul transitioned into professional boxing in 1992, where he trained former two-time heavyweight champion Chris Byrd during title wins against boxing legends Evander Holyfield and David Tua.
Paul made his professional boxing debut in 1997 and later earned a Master's degree in Criminal Justice and Political Science. After retiring from professional fighting in 2006, he shifted his focus to mentorship, fitness training, and media production. His coaching career includes training high-profile clients such as NBA stars Sean Elliott and David Robinson, actress Michelle Rodriguez, and NFL Hall of Famer Barry Sanders. Paul has appeared on Fox 29 KABB San Antonio's Kickin' It with Steve Ashcraft and Chuck Norris, where he discussed his career and legacy as a world-class kickboxer. He also filmed a national commercial as a celebrity endorser for the sports drink FitAid (also known as LifeAid).
In 2013, Paul transitioned into television production, launching 2nd Chance, a series originally focused on helping fallen celebrities rebuild their lives. Together with his wife Tiffany Nutall NuRoyal, he co-founded and expanded the project into 2nd Chance Saves Lives (2025) and later into the broader 2nd Chance TV Show & Production Company and its affiliated 501(c)(3) non-profit. Paul now serves as Co-Founder & Co-CEO, as well as Co-Executive Producer of multiple projects, including Forgotten Prisoners, Forgotten Veterans, and 2nd Chance Radio TV Show.
Beyond television, Paul and Tiffany co-founded 2nd Chance Boxing Promotions, partnering with Sugar Shane Mosley to create opportunities for incarcerated individuals, returning citizens, and international fighters to pursue professional boxing careers. They also established 2nd Chance Entertainment & Music Group, which helps emerging talent gain exposure while staying true to the brand's values.
Paul's career continues to blend action, service, and storytelling - from world championship rings to television screens - focusing on empowering others through media, mentorship, and martial arts, with many 2nd Chance spin-off projects still to come.
