Yoli Fuller is a Black Afro-European international actor active across Europe, British, and American film, television, and theatre. Fluent in English and French, with professional proficiency in German and Italian, he offers a rich cross-cultural perspective to his performances.
After several years working in France on stage, television, and film, he appeared in No Second Chance, the first screen adaptation of a Harlan Coben novel. Encouraged to pursue an international career, Fuller moved to London, where he was cast in Mosquitoes at the National Theatre, directed by Rufus Norris, starring opposite Academy Award winner Olivia Colman, Olivia Williams, and Joseph Quinn. This production was a pivotal moment in his career. He then filmed Amazon Prime’s thriller series The Widow in South Africa, alongside Charles Dance, Kate Beckinsale, and Babs Olusanmokun, before returning to the London stage in Two Ladies at the London Bridge Theatre, directed by Nicholas Hytner, acting opposite Zoë Wanamaker and Zrinka Cvitesic.
On screen, Fuller appeared in season 3 of Atlanta, directed by Donald Glover, in the episode "Tarrare," and later in the feature film On The Line with Mel Gibson and William Moseley. His television credits also include the Netflix WWII drama Transatlantic, created by Anna Winger, and a recurring role in Matthias Glasner’s dark and provocative dystopian series Nachts Im Paradies, alongside Jürgen Vogel, adapted from the German graphic novel of the same name.
He is widely acclaimed for his portrayal of Joseph Bologne Chevalier de Saint-Georges in Marie-Antoinette (BBC, Canal+, PBS), embodying the renowned composer, virtuoso violinist, and military commander of African descent during the French Revolution. Fuller’s work often situates Black characters within historical, political, and institutional frameworks, portraying figures marked by intelligence, authority, and moral depth.
Classically trained, Fuller brings precision and subtlety to his screen performances. He continues to build a career centered on international prestige drama and culturally nuanced storytelling, while also developing projects as a writer.
