Baker Wiles was born to Richard Wiles Jr., a pilot and drive-in movie theater proprietor, and Janet Baker, a restaurateur, mixed-media artist, and graphic designer. His love for performance began early when he was cast as Billy Ray Jr. in On Golden Pond, his first professional production at Theatre Le Homme Dieu, a summer stock theater in his hometown. From that moment, he sought every opportunity to perform, appearing in numerous school and community theater productions through the Alexandria Area Arts Association (now The Andria). He credits much of his artistic foundation to working under directors Jack Reuller (On Golden Pond) and Terry Lynn Carlson (The Music Man), both fixtures of the Minneapolis-St. Paul theater scene.
Wiles has since built a diverse career spanning film, television, stage, and streaming platforms. He recently appeared in Season 7, Episode 3 of Young Sheldon (CBS), titled "A Strudel and a Hot American Boy Toy," playing a Strudel Vendor opposite series star Iain Armitage. The episode was directed by Jeremy Howe. His additional television credits include Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story (Netflix), The Offer (Paramount+), This Is Us (NBC) opposite Milo Ventimiglia, Bill Burr's Immoral Compass (Roku) opposite Dave Dastmalchian, and recurring sketches on The Late Late Show with James Corden (CBS). He also filmed a scene for HBO's Perry Mason.
Wiles appeared on The Masked Singer (FOX), where he subbed for T-Pain in the role of "The Monster" during Season 1. He earned fan acclaim for his performance in the feature film The Education of a Negro and co-starred in Storyteller, a short drama directed by Emmy Award winner Jacopo Campaiola, which won Best Short at two film festivals.
As an executive producer, Wiles oversaw the independent feature Sunny Daze, written and directed by Jason Wiles (90210, Third Watch), and starring Golden Globe winner Michael Beach (Monster: The Jeffrey Dahmer Story, Aquaman) and Lonnie Chavis (This Is Us). Sunny Daze won Best Heartland Narrative at the Kansas City Film Festival International and was an official selection at Dances With Films (Los Angeles) and the SOHO Film Festival (New York).
Baker Wiles is a proud member of the Screen Actors Guild and the American Federation of Television and Radio Artists (SAG-AFTRA), the Actors' Equity Association (AEA), and IATSE Local PWG 111. Represented across the board by his agent, Rina Zaide, at So Cal Talent.
