Jack Snyder is an acclaimed screenwriter and director whose films have been released by 20th Century Fox, NBCUniversal, Warner Bros., and Sony. His projects have been shown in theaters and broadcast on Showtime, Syfy, Lifetime, and major streaming services.
His most recent film, 57 Seconds, a sci-fi thriller starring Morgan Freeman and Josh Hutcherson, premiered theatrically and digitally in 2023. Jack contributed as a script consultant and co-producer and authored the novel adaptation.
For Lifetime Movie Network, Jack wrote and directed the suspense thriller Family Of Lies, now available for streaming on Tubi and on Blu-ray/DVD through Sony Pictures.
His independent film work includes the atmospheric horror Cold Moon (co-writer, co-producer), featuring Josh Stewart and Christopher Lloyd; the true war drama Walking With The Enemy, for which he wrote scenes for Ben Kingsley; and the quirky crime comedy Bad Grandmas (co-writer), starring Florence Henderson, Pam Grier, and Judge Reinhold.
He also wrote, directed, and produced two original thrillers: Fatal Call (Warner Bros. VOD), starring Jason London, Danielle Harris, and Kevin Sorbo, and Ghost Image (Showtime/20th Century Fox), starring Elisabeth Röhm and Stacey Dash.
Jack has penned multiple episodes of the upcoming 2025-26 YouTube sci-fi/horror series Black Veil.
He currently has several feature films in development.
Jack holds Full Membership in the Science Fiction and Fantasy Writers Association (SFWA) and Active Membership in the Horror Writers Association (HWA), both of which require writers to meet specific professional criteria.
When not engaged in writing, producing, or directing, Jack and his family divide their time between their hometown of St. Louis and various beaches in Los Angeles.
