Andrea "Drey" Stockert, a Master Scuba Diver Trainer and Television Producer/Director, began scuba diving in San Carlos, Mexico, in 1988. By the early 1990s, she was instructing scuba diving at Dive N' Surf in Redondo Beach, CA. In 1994, Drey worked as a safety diver and dive master on feature films, commercials, and music videos, including Lethal Weapon 3, The Perfect Storm, and Pirates of the Caribbean.
In 1998, Stockert led a team of divers across Central America and the Middle East to film an ocean-focused television series for Animal Planet. Since then, she has earned Producer, Director, and Writer credits on The Travel Channel, Discovery, Showtime, The Speed Channel, and TLC.
In 2020, Stockert co-founded Modern Myth Television with Producer/Showrunner M.J. Loheed, a company dedicated to producing engaging content featuring emerging talent.
Drey also co-founded The Ocean Lab, a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization committed to delivering live-streamed ocean science expeditions to classrooms worldwide using traditional and 360-degree video formats. She was inducted into the Women Divers Hall of Fame in 2001.
