Brian Konowal, born in Philadelphia and based in Los Angeles, is an actor and improviser with extensive experience in television, film, and comedy. He is best recognized for his portrayal of Clyde, the fiery-haired Scottish antagonist, in Taylor Sheridan's western-crime drama 1923 on Paramount Plus. Brian returns as a double agent in the show's second season, acting alongside Helen Mirren, Harrison Ford, Timothy Dalton, Jerome Flynn, and Robert Patrick.
Upcoming, Brian stars opposite Keanu Reeves in the sci-fi action adventure Shiver, set for release by Warner Bros. Pictures in summer 2027.
Beyond 1923, he appeared in the final season of HBO's Barry, playing a father in a notable scene with Bill Hader. His career highlights include roles in Spike Lee's Clockers, Andrew Dominik's Blonde featuring Ana de Armas, and Peacock's A Friend of the Family with Anna Paquin and Austin Stowell. Television appearances include Castle, The Mentalist, Scorpion, Adam Ruins Everything, and American Crime Story.
A graduate of NYU's Tisch School of the Arts, Brian honed his improvisation skills at IO West and UCB, regularly performing on comedy stages throughout Los Angeles.
