Jerald entered the entertainment industry early, starting with modeling and theater. He served seven years in the United States Air Force, earning his degree during his service. After leaving the military, he worked as a data communications engineer and consultant, which took him on a business trip to Los Angeles. While in LA, a producer invited him to work on a studio set, giving him valuable insight into acting in Hollywood. Jerald received coaching from notable instructors including Connie Copper (Friday Night Lights), Price Hall (under Jeff Corey), Bobby & Larry Chance, Allen Feinstein, Larry B. Scott, and others.
Jerald has appeared in films, TV commercials, industrials, and plays, with significant work alongside Pulitzer Prize-winning writer Edward Albee at the University of Houston. His theater credits include performances at Jones Theater and Stages Repertory Theater. In 2003, he portrayed "Elder Jones" in Suddenly Unexpected, becoming the first African American actor to play a lead role in LDS Films.
An accomplished martial artist, Jerald holds a black belt in ASK American Karate and is skilled in various weapons and combat techniques. He leverages his physical agility to enhance his film roles. Passionate about dramatic parts, he continues to rise in popularity in Hollywood. Currently, he collaborates with two-time Sci-Fi award-winning writer Kevin Kraft on the new sci-fi project Top World. Jerald also works with Patrick Kilpatrick (Eraser, Minority Report, Star Trek) as VP of Development for Uncommon Dialogue Films. Additionally, he owns Unseen Forces Productions, a film and TV production company with several screenplays in development.
