David Emanuel Faria has participated in numerous plays, films, musicals, voice-overs, and TV shows. As an award-winning actor, producer, and writer, his debut project as a writer and producer, Davey's Diary, earned multiple accolades, including Best Web Series at the Direct Short and Documentary Film Festival and a nomination for Best Web Series at the Orlando International Film Festival. The series was also highlighted on Narcity's list of 11 Toronto-Based Web Series You Need To Check Out and secured distribution on streaming platforms such as Sparkk TV.
Following that, he produced and acted in various films showcased at international film festivals, winning awards like Best International Film for The Kiss at the Los Angeles Brazilian Film Festival and the Audience Award for Best Comedy at the Out & Loud - Pune International Film Festival for Mom's The Word. His production company, DECO Pictures, recently co-produced the short film Being Brave, which received funding from the Canada Council for the Arts.
A native of Toronto, David has performed in English, French, Spanish, and Portuguese. He holds an Honours Bachelor Degree in Drama Studies and Political Science from York University and has pursued acting and singing studies in New York City, London, Los Angeles, Montreal, Lisbon, and Toronto.
