Chong Kim, born in South Korea and naturalized as a U.S. citizen in 1984, is originally from Oklahoma and currently lives in Texas. A disabled activist and acclaimed speaker on human trafficking, she authored Broken Silence, published in June 2017. She now works as a film consultant and TV producer. Having personally endured human trafficking, domestic violence, and child sex exploitation, Ms. Kim has been a vocal advocate against these crimes. Her story was adapted into the 2013 film "Eden," featuring Beau Bridges and Jamie Chung. She leverages media platforms to raise awareness about human trafficking, disabled crime victims, and social justice issues. Chong has appeared on prominent networks such as CNBC, CNN, and BBC. Additionally, she is a spoken word artist and poet.
