June Christopher, a native New Yorker, was also raised in Germany and Jamaica. She began her career as a stage actress in New York and attended Barnard College at Columbia University. Her performances include work at the esteemed New York Public Theater and an off-Broadway production of "Threepenny Opera." She was part of the renowned Negro Ensemble Company before returning to Germany to tour with "Porgy and Bess" and star in a television series while residing in Munich.
Later, June moved to Los Angeles, where she appeared on numerous TV shows such as "Now We're Talking," "Rizzoli & Isles," "Close to Home," "JAG," "So Little Time," and "The Jamie Foxx Show." Her film credits include roles in "Misery," "Free Willy II," "Dr. Dolittle," "Blankman," the web series "Boxer," and others.
Family is central to June’s life, with her husband Michael Haney and their twins, Angie and Alex. While raising her children, she became a sought-after voiceover artist in film and television. Her voiceover work features in films like "Frozen," "Frozen II," "The Angry Birds Movie 2," "Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse," "X-Men: Days of Future Past," "X-Men: Apocalypse," "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay - Part 2," "The Incredibles 2," "Big Hero 6," "Dawn of the Planet of the Apes," the Shield Computer voice in "Captain America," "Hidden Figures," "The Big Short," and more. On television, she has regularly contributed voice work to series including "Law and Order," "24," "Chicago Med," "Chicago PD," "Chicago Fire," "Homeland," "Madam Secretary," "Orange is the New Black," "Power," "Snowfall," "Greenleaf," "The Resident," "Covert Affairs," the "Roots" remake, "Madam C.J. As a writer, June has secured deals with HBO, NBC, and Motown Productions. She authored "Music of the City," a weekly one-hour national radio anthology on the history of black music, which expanded into a 12-hour Motown history series for radio and a 10-hour series on The Apollo Theater that evolved into the television special "Motown Returns to the Apollo."
In her role as a producer, June and her husband Michael Haney created the anti-bullying film "Charity," which earned Best Family Film at the Hollywood Reel Independent Film Festival, the Gold Remi Award at WorldFest Houston, and the Award of Merit at the Accolade Global Film Competition. "Charity" was officially selected for festivals including the Irvine International Film Festival, Sedona International Film Festival, Kansas City FilmFest, and Julien Dubuque International Film Festival, and received nominations for Best Social Commentary and Best Outstanding Cast Performance at the Action on Film Festival. Together, they run the Stop Bullying Foundation, using the film to engage schools, colleges, and youth conferences in anti-bullying advocacy. Committed to making a positive impact, June strives to inspire hearts and minds through all her endeavors.
