Heather Elliott-Whitehead is a Jamaican-Canadian television creator, producer and author whose work centers on women of power, influence and ambition in the worlds of high society, diplomacy and international intrigue. With a career spanning entrepreneurship, media and storytelling across Jamaica, Canada and the United States, she brings a distinctly global perspective to prestige drama, creating narratives that are culturally rooted yet designed to resonate with mainstream international audiences. Her stories live at the intersection of opulence and consequence, where the most dangerous rooms are the most beautiful ones.
She is the creator and executive producer of Dancehall Divas, the first reality series of its kind that features the lifestyle and interactions of six women from the popular Dancehall sub-culture across the United States, Canada and Jamaica. The series was acquired by Tubi in 2022 and distributed on Amazon and other platforms, making Elliott-Whitehead a trailblazer in international and Caribbean streaming content.
A published author of two titles - Strength of Your Straw and Q is for Quarantine - she brings the same depth of voice to the page that she brings to the screen. In 2014, Elliott-Whitehead created The Kingston Wives , a complete original global prestige drama series set in the wealthy enclaves of Jamaica. Originally written as a manuscript, the series follows five prominent internationally diverse women whose polished social world conceals a financial conspiracy, a manufactured betrayal and a murder no one saw coming. All ten episodes of Season One are fully written and the series is actively seeking its streaming home. WGA Registration No. 2156544. LHDT Films & Productions / EPG Group.
