Once a child star—her only film role was in W pustyni i w puszczy (1973) (excluding mini-series adapted from the movie and unconfirmed Polish dubbing for the British cartoon The Water Babies (1978)). Half Romanian, Rosca was nine when she was chosen from over four thousand girls to play young Nel Rawlison (she was twelve by the time filming finished).
Following the film’s success (still ranked as the second most-watched movie in Polish cinema history), she did not pursue acting further but returned to her elementary music school, where she played piano and flute, and followed a musical path.
After high school, she attended the Warsaw and Łódź Academies of Music, earning a master’s degree in fine arts. Twice awarded the Fryderyk Chopin Society Scholarship, Rosca became an assistant professor at 24 but left teaching to focus on an international concert career spanning Poland, Germany, the UK, France, Romania, Russia, Korea, Indonesia, and India.
She has won numerous international competitions, including Italy’s "Rina Sala Gallo"; Chamber Music and Karol Szymanowski Competitions in Łódź, Poland; the "Atheneum" Piano Competition in Athens, Greece; Milosz Magin Piano Competition in Paris, France; and the Fryderyk Chopin International Competition in Poland.
A dedicated Chopin enthusiast, Rosca enjoys performing Chopin with orchestras and frequently gives concerts for the Fryderyk Chopin Society in Warsaw. She also spent several years under contract in Japan.
She remains in contact with Tomasz Mędrzak, her co-star from W pustyni i w puszczy (1973). In 1975, she received the "Květy" magazine award for her role in that film.
