Kati Schwartz is an acclaimed playwright, stage and screen actor, and internet personality. Her plays have been showcased nationwide at venues including the Williamstown Theatre Festival, The Hollywood Fringe Festival, Ugly Rhino Theatre Company, and Next Stage Arts Project.
In 2015, Kati earned critical praise for her lead role as the manic teenager Gillian Ravenscroft in Don Nigro's Ravenscroft at the Westchester Playhouse in Los Angeles. Prior to that, she played Jean in The Fulton Theatre's production of August: Osage County, directed by Marc Robin. Kati seems to have an affinity for variations of the name Jean, having also portrayed Jeannie in Hair in New York City, and co-starred as Jeanne in Dan Sallitt's independent film The Unspeakable Act, which premiered at the 2012 Sarasota Film Festival and was screened at the Edinburgh International Film Festival, the International Film Festival Rotterdam, and had a one-week run at Anthology Film Archives in New York City. In 2014, she was part of the cast of Robin Hood at the Williamstown Theatre Festival, where she also presented the first reading of her original play, The Coward. That winter, The Coward enjoyed a sold-out run in New York City under the direction of Alex Keegan. In 2015, Eric Hoff directed a staged reading of The Coward in Los Angeles.
Amidst milking cows and avoiding rooster attacks, Kati studied acting with stage veteran Karla Baldwin, Shakespeare and heightened text with Patsy Rodenberg of the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in London, and clowning with Christopher Bayes and Virginia Scott. She also completed the advanced study program at Upright Citizens Brigade, where she discovered her passion for writing.
From 2015 to 2016, Kati frequently co-hosted the popular YouTube channel Commander Holly and contributed both on-camera and behind the scenes to Ninja Sex Party videos, which averaged 3 million views each.
