Born and raised in Livonia, Michigan. Catherine studied film theory at Wayne State University in Detroit, Michigan, before transferring to Columbia College Chicago in the fall of 1998. She graduate Magna Cum Laude from the Film/TV Department with a concentration in Cinematography in 2001. After working on various graduate and small independent film projects in Chicago, she hired on as a staff producer for the Emmy winning production company HMS Media, Inc. in Des Plaines, Illinois. She works as a producer and writer, and lives in Chicago with her daughter, Lillian.
