Christopher Nostrand is an award-winning independent American filmmaker, video production company owner, cinematographer, video editor, and digital media instructor from the Mid-Hudson Valley of New York State. He earned a Master of Fine Arts in Integrated Media Arts from Hunter College in 2016.
Christopher owns and operates Nostrand Productions LLC, a full-service digital media production company. He also teaches the course Lighting & Cinematography at Marist Universities' Film, Television, and Media Arts Department and a four-course Digital Storytelling Micro-credential at SUNY Ulster.
Christopher has won 25 awards in digital filmmaking and video production. Some awards include a CINE Golden Eagle Award, Best Documentary Director at Harlem International Film Festival, five Telly Awards, three Communicator Awards, Best Documentary and Best Cinematography at CUNY Film Festival, Director's Choice at Black Maria Film and Video Festival, Best Historical Documentary at International Documentary Challenge, and a Research Symposium Award from CUNY School of Public Health.
