Michela Carattini is a multi-local, multi-award-winning actor, writer, director, producer and intimacy coordinator. Based in Sydney, Australia, she made her film debut featuring as New York street kid 'Gloria Jinx' in The Houston Grand Opera's TV-Movie "Street Scene". A graduate of Columbia and Sydney Universities, she has performed on stages throughout the US, Europe, and Australia, appearing in National Tours and Off-Broadway, including as 'Helga' in "Cabaret", 'Sonia' in "Godspell" and 'The Angel' in "Angels in America". On screen, her starring roles include "54 Days" and "Birthday Adjustment Disorder" and her supporting roles include "Bite Club" and "Risen". Her filmmaking feature debut "Carmen & Bolude" premiered in Hollywood, winning Best Foreign Film and Best Ensemble Cast at LA Women in Film Festival, Best Feature Film at its Latin American premiere, and sold out its Australian and European premieres before being acquired by Netflix ANZ. She has been interviewed by The New Yorker Magazine, Variety Australia, Inside Film Magazine, Film Central Magazine, The AU Review, The Age, SBS News, ABC radio, and is featured in several books on intimacy coordination and industry mental health.
